Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the colors below.
Right away I ran into a bit of a snag. I don’t have Sahara Sand ink, but I do have Sahara Sand Cardstock. So I made a bit of a substitution. I kept the Sahara Sand Cardstock as a layering piece, but used Crumb Cake for the trees and Tip Top Taupe for the sentiment. Beyond that, I had fun coloring the leaves on the repeating tree three different green colors to give them more interest. The card felt a little too plan without a pattern paper (the other side of the envelope paper is dots which looked too busy), so I added a bit of gold foil paper peeking out from behind the tree image. Perfect little pop of shine! To finish the card, I added a nice sentiment and a few Flirty Flamingo Enamel Shapes.
